Grammy-nominated Latin fusion group Locos Por Juana’s latest single “Se Fue La Luz,” featuring Chocquibtown, is out today (Aug. 26).
The high energy track previews the band’s upcoming album, Caribe, due Oct. 7. An animated lyric video accompanies the release.

A staple in Miami’s live music scene, the diverse Locos Por Juana often blend dance-oriented Afrolatin rhythms with reggae, rock and funk. Featured act Chocquibtown, from Colombia, offers its distinct tropical-urban flavor on the song, crafting a cultural union of musical styles.
Locos Por Juana’s lead singer, Itawe Correa, spoke to Billboard about the collaboration. “The brotherhood between Chocquibtown and Locos Por Juana is years in the making,” he says of the groups’ longtime friendship, “and it's displayed in 'Se Fue La Luz.'”

The song was originally part of the group’s 2012 album, Somos De La Calle, but was updated and re-recorded for the forthcoming set. A music video for the revamped single was shot in Barranquilla, Colombia and will premiere on Billboard.com on Sept. 15.
Both acts have charted previous sets on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Albums chart. Locos Por Juana peaked at No. 12 on the list in 2009 with La Verdad. The set was nominated for a Grammy in 2008 for best Latin rock or alternative album.
Chocquibtown’s El Mismo reached the No. 5 spot in 2015. The trio recently scored its first No. 1 on the Tropical Songs chart when its latest single “Desde El Dia En Que Te Fuiste” crowned the Aug. 6-dated chart.
